Our Christmas

We love this time of year in our family. We love the lights and the atmosphere of everything around...but most of all we love to worship and celebrate the most important thing, Santa Clause...just kidding, the birth of our savior.

This is the first year that Larissa and I have spent Christmas away from our family in Utah, but luckily we have Joel's Grandma, aunt, and many cousins very close by. As a family during christmas we seem to watch on average of 25-30 Christmas movies during the season. We also love to go look at all the lights on the houses, but this gives Joel too many ideas of how to expand ours. Just this year during the after christmas sells he bought another 3000 lights, 3 deer, 2 blow up decorations, and a couple of other misc items. Also this season we were able to see the Oakland Temple all decorated with Grandma, Andy and A.J..

The Oakland Temple...not as many lights as the SLC one, but it is still a sight to see.

We are all standing at the look out point that overlooks all of Oakland.

This is an orignal 1830 Book of Mormon, it was pretty cool and the display reminded me of the one that holds the declaration of independance on National Treasure.

I dont think kids get any cuter than this guy...however, I might be a little bias.

Kyle and Sarah (our cousins) got suckered into playing with all the new barbies the girls got. As the night when on Kyle grew to love the Troy Bolton doll and even asked Kalee to play Barbies.

Every year we have the kids do a little Nativity scene. Clark was more interested getting the pretend binky out of the baby Jesus's mouth, and I was trying to figure out how Joseph handled two crazy little Mary's.

Our new home

This is the front door and to the right is the living room It doesn't have any furniture in it because we have never had a living room and family room. We did get our christmas decorations up...we did that before we unpacked the rest of the house, we know what's important (lol).

This is the breakfast nook which we are using as a play area for the kids.

This is the master bedroom...it actually fits our bedroom set which is amazing!

This is Clarks room, he finally has his own space...too bad its right next to the loudest room in the house.

This is the Girls Bathroom, you probably could have guessed from the all the pink.

This is the noisiest room in the house, otherwise known as the girls room.

Thanksgiving little skit

We went to my Aunt karens and Uncle floyds for Thanksgiving in Mesa Az and the older cousins put together a pilgrims and Indian skit for us. Thanksgiving was so much fun Kalee and Lily had so much fun playing with the kids.

The drive from Texas to California

Lily fell asleep like this it was only 10:30 in the morning but I quess the driving tired the cute girl out. Kalee always wanting to be the center of attention put her blanket over her head and said mommy take a picture of me, silly girl.

Were Californians!

So as most of you know this past few months have been a little busy for our family. It started with graduation from pilot training and never seemed to slow down. Joel left for survival and had the worst 3 and half weeks of his life. I am sorry to say that there will be no christmas letter this year from our family it has been way to crazy. I just started the christmas shopping last friday good thing we have the internet because just about everybody is getting gift cards. kalee is doing well in school she went from full day to half day which was an adjustment she likes her teachers and have made some new friends however most of them live on base which we do not. Lily is still as crazy as ever and has so much energy I don't even think puting her in a activity will slow her down, she is in that stage that she ask why about everything it is cute because she is so darn curious I cannot figure out what to call her curious Lily or Lily the menace what do you think? Clark is getting so big he is babbling none stop, he is going to be walking anytime now. we love having him apart of our family it's amazing how different boys and girls are.
